nCircle Certifies in Symantec Technology Enabled Program; nCircle IP360 Integration With Symantec Security Information Manager Enables Customers to In

SAN FRANCISCO -- nCircle, a leading provider of enterprise-class vulnerability and risk management solutions, today announced its certification in the Symantec Technology Enabled Program (STEP). This partner program certification comes as nCircle IP360 has integrated with Symantec Security Information Manager (SSIM) giving enterprises another way to intelligently prioritize risks to their networks.
nCircle IP360 vulnerability and risk management system profiles and inventories all network assets without installing an agent on the network. The integration of this inventoried information with SSIM enables IT managers to access updated threat correlation and vulnerability information on at-risk devices on the network via a single console. The integration may be further enhanced by nCircle IP360's unique capability to provide additional vulnerability information in the context of a particular asset's network architecture. This added "line-of-sight" risk analysis allows IT managers to strategically focus resources on the highest priority risks.

"The dynamic nature of Internet security threats poses complex, multifaceted risks to enterprise networks," said Raja Srinivasan, director of the Symantec Technology Enabled Program. "The addition of nCircle to STEP and its integration with Symantec Security Information Manager gives security administrators added intelligence to proactively eliminate network exposures."
"This solution integration translates into efficient use of IT resources for customers," said Stefan Petry, vice president of product management for nCircle. "IT managers can learn which devices have been affected and what needs to be done much faster. Simply put, now IT departments have the ability to tell the difference between a real emergency and a security fire drill."
