How To Do Effective MLM Prospecting

In your network marketing business, whether it be online or offline, MLM prospecting is the lifeblood of your business. If you are not consistently prospecting for your business then you will not consistently build your business.

Here is a rule of thumb that I recently learned from one of my mentors. You should be spending at least 70% of your time generating new business, or generating new prospects for your business. Then you should spend no more than 30% of your time with current prospects, clients, customers, or downline members. This applies to any business not just network marketing.

The good news is you can eventually use leverage and automate a lot of this process when its done right.

So here is how a prospecting system or process would look like.

The search – This is where you are on the search for new business partners or prospects for your network marketing business opportunity. This is simply where you apply many different strategies for attracting new prospects that are interested in looking at your products, services or business opportunity. You can be doing online advertising with Google adwords, ezines, or even offline marketing with post cards, newspapers etc. In this process you do not want to present the business or product and service to people, you only want to get them interested to give you their information. Then you can do the presentation afterward.

Presentation – This is where you are presenting your business to the interested prospects. This here is where you can huge automation. You can simply use tools such as online flash videos, online audio, and teleconference calls that will automate the process by doing the presentations for you. You must have a strong presentation for presenting the business for you.

Follow up – This is now where you ask for the decision. Then after asking for a decision and if the prospect needs more time and is not ready yet, then you continue with follow up. This follow up process can be done with automation as well. You can be using autoresponder systems for doing the follow up on your behalf so that you can be contacting and following up with all your prospects daily without having to do it manually yourself.

So with following through this process you can master the MLM prospecting method for your network marketing business opportunity. If you really want to create massive success in your network marketing business opportunity then this is a skill you need to master.
